Kenji Watanabe

Kenji Watanabe is a JKA (Japan Karate Association) 4th Dan black belt and one of the most technically accomplished martial arts instructors in Dubai. With fourteen years of teaching experience and a background that includes competition at the Japanese national level, Kenji's technical credentials are beyond question.

He teaches traditional Shotokan karate with authentic kata, self-defence application, and the philosophical underpinnings that distinguish martial arts from combat sports. His youth programme is particularly respected — parents across JLT and the Marina trust Kenji with their children's character development as much as their physical training.

Kenji teaches at a dojo in JLT, in school programmes across Dubai, and offers private lessons in Japanese, English, and Arabic. He holds regular seminars that attract martial artists from across the UAE who want to train with a genuine Japanese master.
